An Online Training Event for Aspiring Female Musical Directors

Have you considered a future career in musical direction? Or have you simply wondered what the job involved and would like to know more? This online seminar will outline the role of the musical director, the skills needed to do the job, and the practical steps you can take to prepare yourself.

This role has traditionally been almost exclusively a male one, yet a new generation of female MDs are gradually breaking down the barriers. Some leading musical directors will present a series of talks and demonstrations to de-mystify this demanding yet incredibly rewarding job and set out a career path towards success in this field. 

Women of all ages and backgrounds are welcome. Under-18s should have an adult present.

This event is reserved for female-identifying and non-binary musicians and is part of the #LadiesoftheStave initiative to support female musicians in theatre. It is supported by the Musicians Union, and is free of charge.

2pm, July 22, 2020. A Zoom invite will be sent out shortly before. Bookings close at 1pm on the day.
